24th Annual Cowboy Days Festival

LAS CRUCES, N.M. The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum welcomes the community to our 24th Annual Cowboy Days event. There will be a wagon load of activities to celebrate and showcase New Mexico ranching traditions including a working dogs demonstration, sheep shearing, and a working chuckwagon! Eventgoers will enjoy a variety of vendors and food trucks. Live music will be heard throughout the festival. Watch the Museum’s cowboys showcase their many breeds of cattle in a returning favorite “Parade of Breeds.” The Museum’s regular attractions and exhibits will also be open during this time for all to enjoy.
The fun starts at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday March 2, 2024, and Sunday March 3, 2024. The admission will be $20 per carload. No pets allowed. The museum is located at 4100 Dripping Springs Road in Las Cruces, N.M.
Friday, March 1, 2024, is the official first day of the event with schools enjoying the educational activities. These activities are also open to the public with regular museum admission: Adults $7, Senior Citizens (60 and up) $6, Children (4 to 17) $4, Children 3 and under are Free.
About the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum:
The New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces is a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The 47-acre interactive museum brings to life the 4,000-year history of growing food and fiber in this region. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, it features livestock, indoor and outdoor exhibits, barns, greenhouse, gift shop, and demonstrations.
