New Mexico Historic Sites brings on a new instructional coordinator for Bosque Redondo Memorial

Fort Sumner, NM – New Mexico Historic Sites (NMHS) is excited to announce that AnaMaria Moreno-Molinar has joined Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site as the site’s instructional coordinator. Moreno-Molinar started in the role on October 1, 2022.
In the NMHS system, instructional coordinators play a pivotal role in connecting the public with the sites’ history and resources. They develop special events and public programming, coordinate on- and off-site educational resources, and help guide engagement and interpretation.
Moreno-Molinar brings a wealth of joy, cultural and artistic knowledge, and passion to the role. She grew up on a farm in Corrales, New Mexico, where her Basque/New Mexican heritage has instilled a love for the land and its people. While dancing with the Paris Opera Ballet and flying with the airlines, she traveled and studied different cultures.
“At Bosque Redondo Memorial, I will have the opportunity to connect with people exactly where they’re at,” Moreno-Molinar said. “I want to be a witness and partner to the future healing and growth that is happening all around this powerful site. New Mexico’s state motto, ‘Crecit eundo’ (‘It grows as it goes’), is the perfect template for growth, and with an incredibly talented team at the Memorial, I know that I am home once again.”

New Mexico Historic Sites is a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, under the leadership of the Board of Regents for the Museum of New Mexico. Programs and exhibits are generously supported by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and its donors. The New Mexico Historic Sites system was established in 1931 by an Act for the Preservation of the Scientific Resources of New Mexico. The eight Historic Sites include Coronado, Fort Selden, Fort Stanton, Bosque Redondo Memorial at Fort Sumner Historic Site, Jemez, Lincoln, and Los Luceros.
