Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts

On view at the Governor’s Gallery at the New Mexico State Capitol Building

On display through Feb 28, 2020 at the New Mexico Museum of Art

This year marks the 46th annual celebration of the Governor’s Arts Awards, which was established in 1974 to honor the extensive role artists and their work play in New Mexico culture. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and the New Mexico Arts Commission have selected six artists and major contributors to the arts as 2019 recipients of the awards: Victor di Suvero, Marc Neikrug, Nicolàs Otero, Roxanne Swentzell, New Mexico PBS, and Lee Gruber. The exhibition represents each honoree with information and examples of their contributions.
