The calendar is considered a must-have for those planning a trip to New Mexico, and for those who live in this special place or wish they did. New Mexico Treasures showcases the region's most celebrated photographers with striking images of New Mexico's cultural and natural landscapes. This year's impressive family of photographers includes Gary Rasmussen, Steve Northup, Ann Murdy, Ralph Lee Hopkins, Theodore Greer, Marie Markesteyn, Efraín Padró, Laurence Parent, Noreen O'Brien, William Stone, and many others.
New Mexico Treasures 2011 invites you to explore our region's cultural wealth, highlighting a wonderful and diverse mix of large and small community events, like the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe in July or Cowboy Days at the Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces in March, the Hatch Chile Festival near Las Cruces in August or the Sun Mountain Gathering at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe in October, or the numerous Indian Pueblo Feast Day celebrations held throughout the year. More than 150 events in all are listed. The week-at-a-glance format, along with dazzling photography, make the calendar a perennial favorite for residents, visitors, and those other New Mexico aficionados wanting to celebrate the special beauty and intrigue of this special land throughout the year.
